Joe is a Bible teacher who has taught many different Bible studies in numerous churches throughout the nation. He has also led international mission trips, served as an elder and in other local church ministries. His passion for mission work is influenced by his 52 year career as an IBM executive. He and his family not only lived in Japan, he visited more than 40 nations as as a representative of IBM.
Joe attended the Alliance Theological Seminary and is also a Georgia Tech grad with a major in Electrical Engineering. He Joined IBM in 1965 as a Systems Engineer and held many different positions before he retired in 2017. He also served in US Army Corps of Engineers and reached the rank of Major.
Thankfully for all of us in Gainesville, in 2019, he and his wife Barbara decided to retire in Gainesville, Georgia. They are active members of Lakewood Baptist Church and the Wisdom Seekers Sunday School class.
They have two sons, Matt, who lives in Colorado, and Andrew, who lives in the Bahamas. This keeps Joe and Barbara on the road quite a lot just getting to see their children and grandchildren.
