Additional Explanation about Coaching

Our coaches come from our own staff and from other Christian organizations that meet the standards set by Christ. The love of the Savior should compel all Christ followers to follow the example and commands given in the Great Commission:

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:18-20 NASB)

The Greek word “poreuthentes” is translated “go therefore” in the NASB. A more precise translation is found in Young’s Literal Translation:“having gone, then, disciple all the nations, baptizing them — to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit…

This more literal translation is based on the fact that “poreuthentes” is a Greek aorist, passive participle. Consequently, it demonstrates the idea that all believers are to be making disciples as they go about their daily lives. True, some are called as evangelists to focus completely on the task of making disciples. On the other hand, every study that has ever been done proves that most persons come to know and trust Jesus Christ because one or more ordinary Christians have formed a loving relationship with them.

We are all witnesses called to share the good news of new life in Jesus Christ. Our goal in coaching is to assist individuals to learn how to more effectively make disciples for the Lord Jesus in the process of going about their daily activities. And, this is true for all Christians, including those employed by Christian churches or organizations.

How are we unique?

We offer various coaching options to individuals who are already Christian leaders or who desire to become Christian leaders, whether in organizations or in their own homes. Our coaches can assist you with many different solutions. Our major focus is on church growth, church renewal, church planting, organization leadership, business leadership, family leadership, evangelism, and disciple-building activities. We also recognize that every individual may have more specific needs that require assistance.

We are available to discuss your needs by phone at no cost to you. Then, we can make recommendations to you based on your requirements, location, and available budget.

Some of these options include coaches who are contracted to work directly through GMI. Some are coaches who work through other qualified organizations or who work as individual practicioners. In all cases, we only recommend coaches that we have investigated and verified as to their qualifications.

How do we get started with Clients?

After you contact us we can do a free, initial evaluation over the phone. Once we determine what you requirements are, we will offer options based on your unique needs.

A single meeting analysis: One option is to have a GMI-approved coach conduct an individual meeting with you. This meeting can be done either by telephone or by a face-to-face meeting. Based on the results of this interview, we may recommend further options for your consideration. This is a fee-based interview.

An instructional training event: We also offer various training events and webinars that may be a great asset in your personal growth and development. These events are conducted by one of our GMI-approved coaches over the internet. A number of individuals may join one of these events and each participant is given time to interact with the coach and with other participants. This is a fee-based event.

How do we charge for our services?

Some of our services are offered without charge to our clients, some of our services are based on fees that vary depending on the ability of our clients to pay and some of our services or products are based on fixed prices. Note: We are able to offer some of our services free because of the generous contributions of concerned individuals and organizations that understand the need for our ministry.
